Dave Parkes

Dave Parkes is the newest member of the Hunkler Search Associates team.  He brings over 18 years experience in working directly in the medical device/venture capital start-up arena.  Dave’s areas of specialty are in medical device and venture capital start-up companies where he recruits sales representative, sales management and clinical support specialist positions exclusively. 

Medical Device Arena:
After spending over 7 years in medical device sales for Johnson and Johnson, Dave was promoted to sales management and relocated from the south to the Great Lakes region where he was put in charge of building a new sales team selling products in areas of in-patient/outpatient surgery, critical care, and central sterile supply. It was in this position that he learned his most valuable asset to his current clients,    how to identify, interview, and train talented individuals that would succeed in selling medical devices.  Within three years, he and his new team went from last place to winning Division of the Year.    

Venture Capital Start-Up:
Dave was recruited away from Johnson and Johnson to market a newly FDA approved medical device used in the treatment of brain tumors. Following his first full year on the job,  Dave was acknowledged by the president as being the #1 revenue producer and won the first sales contest in the company’s history. The company was purchased and Dave was promoted again into a sales management position. He received his second promotion and served as Director of Sales where he trained his new sales manager’s on the same skills he learned as a manager with Johnson and Johnson, how to identify, interview, hire, and train talented sales/clinical support specialist.
